{"id":10177,"date":"2021-08-02T08:39:59","date_gmt":"2021-08-02T05:39:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/snov.io\/knowledgebase\/?p=10177"},"modified":"2025-02-23T18:23:46","modified_gmt":"2025-02-23T15:23:46","slug":"how-to-manually-fill-in-missing-variables","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/snov.io\/knowledgebase\/how-to-manually-fill-in-missing-variables\/","title":{"rendered":"How to manage recipients in &#8220;To Check&#8221; tab"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This article explains how to manually add missing variables on the <strong>To Check<\/strong> tab before sending your campaign.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Using variables, you can automatically populate email content with information from the prospect profile, resulting in a more personalized message.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><b>To Check<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> tab on the email campaign dashboard warns that the email sequence includes variables for empty fields in the prospect's profile.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For example, the profile is missing a first name or company name while at least one of the emails has a corresponding variable.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>It allows you to review prospects with missing variable data and update as necessary before sending out an email sequence.<\/p>\n<p><strong>There are few ways to manage missing variable data in your email campaign:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Update prospect fields manually<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After launching a campaign, prospects with missing variables will be transferred to the <strong>To Check<\/strong> tab and will not receive any emails until they are managed.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Open the <strong>To Check<\/strong> tab on your email campaign dashboard.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0Fill in the missing informaton in the empty fields.<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Click the <strong>Save and Send <\/strong>button to update prospect fields and start a campaign.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"shadow aligncenter wp-image-20078 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/snov.io\/knowledgebase\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/2022-12-29_16-27-01-1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"900\" height=\"418\" srcset=\"https:\/\/snov.io\/knowledgebase\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/2022-12-29_16-27-01-1.png 900w, https:\/\/snov.io\/knowledgebase\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/2022-12-29_16-27-01-1-300x139.png 300w, https:\/\/snov.io\/knowledgebase\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/2022-12-29_16-27-01-1-768x357.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Skip missing variables and use a fallback<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you want to skip the variable check, click <\/span><b>Send without checking <\/b>on the To Check tab to populate missing variables with <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the fallback text (if it's added).
