This guide shows how to use your own proxy server instead, and how to update your proxy location when you travel.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"#custom-proxy-setup\">Set up a custom proxy<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"#change-proxy-settings\">Update your proxy location<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<div class=\"notification-block learn\">\n<div class=\"notification-block__icon\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/snov.io\/knowledgebase\/wp-content\/themes\/knowledgebase-n\/assets\/img\/fluent_chat-warning-16-regular.svg\" alt=\"learn\" width=\"32\" height=\"32\" \/><\/div>\n<div class=\"notification-block__text\">\n<p><strong>Before you start. <\/strong>To use a custom proxy, make sure you have:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>1) A connected LinkedIn account.<\/strong> See <a href=\"https:\/\/snov.io\/knowledgebase\/how-to-connect-your-linkedin-account-to-snov-io\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">this guide<\/a> to connect one.<\/li>\n<li><strong>2) A proxy server from your provider.<\/strong> You need its host, port, username and password.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<h2 id=\"custom-proxy-setup\"><strong>Set up a custom proxy<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>To have full control over your settings, you can add your own proxy server to your LinkedIn account.<\/p>\n<div class=\"notification-block learn\">\n<div class=\"notification-block__icon\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/snov.io\/knowledgebase\/wp-content\/themes\/knowledgebase-n\/assets\/img\/fluent_chat-warning-16-regular.svg\" alt=\"learn\" width=\"32\" height=\"32\" \/><\/div>\n<div class=\"notification-block__text\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A custom proxy gives you the flexibility to change your IP or host whenever you need, but you\u2019re responsible for setting it up and maintaining it.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Toggle the option <b>\"Use my own proxy server\"<\/b>. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Enter the host, port, username and password provided by your proxy service. You can find this information in your proxy provider account (where you purchased the proxy server).<\/span><\/p>\n<p>After entering all the required details, click <strong data-start=\"198\" data-end=\"209\">Connect<\/strong>. If the connection is successful, your automation will run through the proxy you provided instead of the default one.<\/p>\n<div class=\"notification-block tip\">\n<div class=\"notification-block__icon\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/snov.io\/knowledgebase\/wp-content\/themes\/knowledgebase-n\/assets\/img\/academicons_ideas-repec.svg\" alt=\"tip\" width=\"32\" height=\"32\" \/><\/div>\n<div class=\"notification-block__text\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you change any of these details later with your provider, update them in <\/span>Snov.io<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> as well. LinkedIn may flag your actions as suspicious if they don't match.<\/p>\n<div class=\"notification-block learn\">\n<div class=\"notification-block__icon\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/snov.io\/knowledgebase\/wp-content\/themes\/knowledgebase-n\/assets\/img\/fluent_chat-warning-16-regular.svg\" alt=\"learn\" width=\"32\" height=\"32\" \/><\/div>\n<div class=\"notification-block__text\">\n<p><b>When to update your LinkedIn proxy<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you travel for work while a Snov.io campaign is running, update your proxy so your automation also matches your current location.
