How to use automation to create deals based on recipient actions

In this article, you’ll learn how to set up an automation in email campaign that creates and organizes deals in the Snov.io CRM.

The Automatic Deals feature in campaigns automatically adds prospects to CRM deals when they open, click, or reply to an email or LinkedIn message.

How the deal automation works

When your recipient takes one of the actions that you specify in automation settings, Snov.io tracks it down and creates a new deal for this prospect in a selected pipeline and stage.

Using this approach, you can automate the filtering of interested prospects and transfer them to your CRM for further management.

Step 1. Activate deal automation

While setting up your campaign, move forward to the Prospects step.

Scroll to the Automatic Deals section and toggle the button to activate automation.

Step 2. Set up automation settings

In the automation settings, set conditions to automatically create deals and specify where to place them in your funnel.

Action: Select the prospect actions that will trigger deal creation. If there are LinkedIn actions in your sequence, the “Replied” action will include LinkedIn replies (to regular messages, connection requests, or InMails) from your LinkedIn automation.

Choose one or more actions to create deals for your most engaged prospects. Once a prospect does any of the selected actions, we create a deal.

Pipeline: Select the pipeline where the deals will be created.

Stage: Choose the pipeline stage where the deals will be placed.

Potential value: Set an estimated value for deals in this campaign. Deals will be created using this amount as the deal value.

Choose the appropriate currency for your prospects. Make sure the value is realistic, as it will appear in your reports.

Step 3. Enable tracking

The final step is to enable tracking options that match the conditions you selected.

Go to the Sending options step, find Tracking settings, and choose the options you need.

For the “Opened emails” and “Clicked on link” conditions to work, enable open and link tracking in campaign settings. If tracking is off, the automation won’t run.

Step 4. Manage deals in the CRM

The CRM lets you manage and prioritize leads, move them through pipeline stages, take notes, and assign tasks, so you can close more deals and speed up conversions. 

To continue managing prospects, go to the Deals page. The deal will contain the primary prospect information and the potential value you’ve set.
