How to increase your LinkedIn limits

This article explains how to increase your daily limits to automate LinkedIn activities for more prospects.

LinkedIn sets limits on platform usage and the number of activities accounts can perform. However, there are safe ways to increase your daily action limits when using LinkedIn automation in Snov.io.

1. Connect more LinkedIn accounts

If you find that the limits from one account aren’t enough for your needs, get additional LinkedIn profiles and connect them to Snov.io. To have more accounts active at the same time, activate additional slots on the LinkedIn accounts page.

New accounts will be in warm-up mode to ensure a safe start (20 per day for each action). If you set maximum limits from day one, this could be detected as suspicious. After the warm-up period, you’ll be able to increase the limits as your SSI score grows (more about that below in this article).

LinkedIn slots in Snov.io are flexible: you pay for the slot, not per account connection. This means you can change the account connected to the slot up to 3 times a month. We use dedicated proxies for each account you connect, ensuring they operate with a unique footprint (so LinkedIn sees them as separate users). This helps lower the chance of any bans or restrictions while using automation.

Important: LinkedIn states users can only have one account and recommends merging duplicate accounts.

If you decide to have multiple LinkedIn profiles, it requires careful management due to the risks involved.

If detected, this can lead to restrictions or account blocks. LinkedIn may close duplicate accounts or limit your ability to perform certain actions. Consider using accounts belonging to your team members to minimize these risks.

2. Distribute your list between multiple campaigns

It takes more time to contact a bigger list of prospects through one campaign. You can use additional accounts in separate campaigns to include their limits to your total daily limit.

To set this up, split your recipient list into smaller lists. For example, a list of 200 prospects can be 4 lists with 50 prospects. Create a few empty prospects lists and move leads from the main list to those lists. You can filter prospects by certain parameters using the Filter option (Search bar at the top right of the Prospects page).

Use the Copy option for your campaign to create its duplicates (same sequence, same settings). For each campaign, add a dedicated LinkedIn account and one of the segmented lists.

3. Get LinkedIn Premium

LinkedIn does not disclose the specific activity limits allowed. The limits for specific accounts can vary depending on their age, activity history, SSI score, etc. However, it’s widely observed that LinkedIn Premium accounts have more generous allowances from LinkedIn.

While it’s not officially confirmed, with a premium account, you’ll get higher and more flexible limits; your account will be less likely to face any restrictions for exceeding them compared to free accounts. This makes having a LinkedIn subscription the best option to safely increase the limits.

InMail actions have known limits, which depend on your LinkedIn account quotas.

LinkedIn allows more extensive use of profiles with premium access. If you’re on a tight budget and cannot decide whether LinkedIn Premium is worth it, find the answer in our blog.

4. Grow your SSI score

For higher limits, your accounts need to develop and maintain a good reputation on LinkedIn. There’s a special metric for that – the SSI score. It indicates the rating and the quality of your LinkedIn profile, how active and “warmed-up” it is.

A high SSI score (above 40-50) tells LinkedIn that you generate real, meaningful interactions, not spam, and deserve to make more activities. Good-rated accounts can set higher limits for actions.

The SSI grows from positive engagement, the quality of your network and the completion of your profile. Read more in our blog.

To grow SSI automatically, add profile views, profile follows and post likes to your LinkedIn sequences in Snov.io. Other activities that also help its growth are original posts on relevant themes to attract engagement, comments on and sharing of others’ posts (including your prospects’ posts).

Monitor SSI directly in your LinkedIn account settings and set higher action limits based on personalized recommendations we provide.

5. Use Email as backup or additional channel

When your LinkedIn limit isn’t enough to contact all your prospects, combine it with the email channel. The limits for email are much higher than LinkedIn’s, allowing you to compensate for the lower limits in your LinkedIn account.

Snov.io’s campaigns are multichannel. Add both email and LinkedIn actions to your sequences to combine the limits from the two channels. In our email finder tools, you get prospects with contacts for both channels: LinkedIn URL and email address.

For email accounts, you don’t need slots — connect unlimited accounts at no extra cost. Remember: newly created email accounts need preparation for best performance:

6. Manage pending requests

Control the number of connection requests left in the waiting status. Having too many pending requests may negatively affect your account’s rating. It signals that you’re sending invitations to people who do not expect them or aren’t interested.

Snov.io helps you track your pending requests and can automatically keep their number within the recommended limit. Set the automatic mode for request management and monitor them directly on the Connection requests page.

7. Monitor LinkedIn statistics

When your LinkedIn actions have high engagement rates, you can set higher limits with a lower risk of restrictions, as LinkedIn will view your activities as well-targeted. For example, if your acceptance rate is above 40-50%, you can try increasing the limit for requests.

Monitor the automation results and adjust the limits based on the engagement. Check your LinkedIn statistics on the Reports dashboard.
