After reading this article, you’ll learn how to install the LinkedIn Prospect Finder extension and enable automatic updates.
If you’ve been using our extension for finding leads on LinkedIn, you know it can be tricky to install and requires manual updates.
To make things easier, we’ve added a new installation option—the LinkedIn prospecting extension is now available in the Chrome Web Store →
Why install LIPF from the Chrome Store: 1) It installs and is ready to use in just a few clicks. 2) All future updates will be automatic as soon as a new version is released.
If you prefer the old method of manual installation, we’ll continue to support it.

How to update LIPF and enable automatic updates
If you haven’t used the extension before, we recommend installing it directly from the Chrome Store.
If you previously installed LI Prospect Finder using the old method (via extension archive), remove the current version from your browser, and then install it from the Chrome Store.
Reinstalling will update your extension to the latest version and enable automatic updates.
Step 1: Open the Extensions page in your Chrome browser. In the top right corner, click More –> Extensions –> Manage Extensions, or type chrome://extensions/ into the address bar.
Click Remove under LI Prospect Finder.
Step 2: To reinstall the extension, go to the LI Prospect Finder page in the web store → Click Add to Chrome and confirm.
Step 3: Pin LIPF to the extension bar for quick access.
Click the puzzle icon in the top right corner and pin the updated LIPF extension.
