How to connect your LinkedIn account to Snov.io

After reading this guide, you'll know how to connect and set up your LinkedIn account for LinkedIn Automation.

Step 1: Add LinkedIn slots -->

Step 2: Connect LinkedIn accounts -->

Step 3: Set daily action limits -->

Step 4: Check SSI score -->

After connecting your LinkedIn profile to Snovio, you'll be able to create automated sequences of LinkedIn actions and multichannel campaigns.

Step 1: Add LinkedIn slots

To connect your LinkedIn account, you'll need a LinkedIn slot.

Add slots on the LinkedIn accounts page. The number of slots you need depends on the number of profiles you want to use as senders in campaigns.

learn
LinkedIn Automation add-on supports account rotation within one campaign. You can add multiple LinkedIn profiles as senders within one campaign. This allows you to scale outreach safely and avoid getting banned by LinkedIn for exceeding the activity limits. Learn how to use LinkedIn rotation in this article.

LinkedIn slots are flexible and have prorated billing: you pay for the slot, not per account connection. This means you can change the profile connected to the slot up to 3 times a month. We use dedicated proxies for each slot to ensure they have a unique footprint (so LinkedIn sees them as separate users).

Slot charges are prorated based on the billing period of your premium plan. If you purchase a slot in the middle of a subscription, you'll pay only for the days left until the renewal of your plan. Read more about LinkedIn add-on billing.

Step 2: Connect LinkedIn accounts

After activating a slot, click Connect.

In the pop-up window, you'll be prompted to add your login data. Enter the email address and password you use to log in to your LinkedIn profile. Your credentials are required to establish the connection and keep it active while your LinkedIn campaigns are in progress.

In the location settings, select the country and city from which you usually access your LinkedIn account.

learn
We use location-based proxies to ensure the automation is safe for your account. You will be assigned a dedicated IP address. You can change the location settings up to three times per month to match your current location.

Click Connect after filling out all required fields.

tip

To verify the connection, you may need to enter a verification code. Depending on your two-factor authentication settings, LinkedIn will send this code to your email address, via SMS, or your authenticator app.

Step 3: Set daily limits

After the connection is complete, your account will show up in the list on the LinkedIn accounts page. There you can review a summary of daily activities and a connection status.

You can adjust the account limits for automation. Click the Edit limits icon to open the settings.

learn

LinkedIn profiles have limits on all activities, especially connection requests and messages. The recommended safe limit is up to 30 actions per day.

In the settings, set the limit for each action your account can perform per day in campaigns. Once it reaches this limit, the automation will pause until the next day.

New LinkedIn accounts will be in the safe mode to ensure you start the automation within the recommended limits (20 per day for each action).

tip

The maximum limit for each action is 50 per day — set this limit at your own risk. If you set maximum limits from day one, this may lead to your account being restricted by LinkedIn. Only increase the limits based on the account's SSI score.

Step 4: Monitor your Social Selling Index

Since LinkedIn doesn’t publicly share specific daily limits, use your SSI score to set recommended safe limits. Following these limits reduces the risk of getting banned by LinkedIn.

A higher score allows you to set higher limits for actions. Only set limits higher than 30 after your SSI score is above 40 or you have a premium LinkedIn account.

  • 0-20 points = 10 per each action;
  • 21-40 points = 20 per each action;
  • 41-100 points = 30 per each action.
learn

Snov.io automatically detects and updates your SSI score. This score reflects your LinkedIn account's reputation. Monitor it for each of your accounts and adjust daily limits as it grows.

The SSI (Social Selling Index) score is calculated based on four key factors.

These factors together improve your SSI score:

  • Your activity – How consistent your activity is. Create regular posts, participate in discussions and comment on others’ posts. LinkedIn automation safely grows your activity and presence on the platform through viewing and following profiles, and post likes.
  • Engagement – How much interaction your posts and profile receive, including likes, comments and shares. Share your opinions, unique stories, or insights from personal experiences, this always gets more attention.
  • Network quality – How well your connections match your industry and target audience. Focus on meaningful connections, rather than just growing their number.
  • Profile completeness – How complete and optimized your LinkedIn profile is, including your headline, summary, skills and experience. Clearly showcase who you are and what you do.

Next step: Create a LinkedIn sequence

Now that your LinkedIn account is connected, you can launch LinkedIn campaigns and multichannel sequences that combine emails and LinkedIn actions.
