How to use the BCC to CRM feature

BCC (blind carbon copy) is a way to send a copy of your message to a hidden recipient, whose email address won’t be revealed to other recipients of the message. It can be used to transfer information to your CRM.

With, you can set up a BCC to CRM feature by specifying a BCC email address when adding a sender account. After that, all emails sent from this sender account via will be forwarded to your CRM. Most CRMs like HubSpot, Pipedrive, Salesforce and Zoho CRM support this feature.

Here’s how to set up the BCC to CRM feature in 3 steps: 

Step 1. Go to your favorite CRM to find the custom BCC address for your account. You can find it in the account settings of most CRMs. We’ll be using Pipedrive as an example:

In your Pipedrive account settings, go to Personal preferences, then navigate to the Email sync tab and find the BCC address in the Smart email BCC address field. 

Step 2. In your account settings, navigate to Email Accounts and select the sender account you want to add the BCC to CRM feature to or add a new sender email address. 

Step 3. In the BCC Settings field, enter the BCC address you copied from your CRM. Make sure it’s the valid email address format. For example, Next, click the Save Settings button.

Once the changes are saved, you’ll see the following notification at the bottom of the page:

Ready! Now all emails sent through this sender account via email campaigns will be forwarded to your CRM.

Note: When the BCC recipient opens an email, it will be counted as an additional open and will be displayed in the email opens statistic:

However, the BCC recipient is not counted as unique, so when you send an email to a recipient with BCC added, the system will only count one additional open. 

When the BCC to CRM feature is activated, all contacts from the To: field in emails will be automatically saved to your CRM.
