Why verify emails

Email verification shows you which addresses can receive your messages before you send.

This helps you avoid bounces, protect your sender reputation, and keep your campaign reports focused on real engagement.

Snov.io checks each address using a multi-step verification process. Read this guide to learn more.

Ways to verify emails in Snov.io

You can verify emails directly in the app, in your browser, via API in your integrations and workflows, or using an enrichment tool.

Pick the method that matches where your emails are and how many you need to check.

Single Email Verification

Use Single Email Verification to check one address at a time.

It works well for a quick test of a contact before you add them to a campaign.

Bulk Email Verification

Use Bulk Email Verification to check a whole list at once.

Upload a CSV, XLS, XLSX, or TXT file with up to 100,000 emails.

When verification finishes, you can save the verified emails to a prospect list. For the full workflow, see this guide.

Email Verifier Chrome extension

Use the Email Verifier Chrome extension to verify addresses from your browser while you research contacts on the web.

Email Verifier API

Use the Email Verifier API to verify emails automatically through integrations or no-code workflows. The API follows the same credit rules as the web app.

For API details, read this guide.

Email (re)verification in Enrich and AI

*this feature is coming soon to our Enrichment tools*.

Use Email (re)verification to check or recheck emails for prospects already saved in your prospect lists.

You choose a verification provider when you set up the enrichment. The provider decides whether you pay in credits or tokens, as the table below shows.

How email verification credits are charged

Every checked email gets a green (valid), red (invalid), or yellow (unknown) status.

To decide what to do with yellow emails, read this guide about list health.

note
You are charged 1 credit when verification provides valid (green) or invalid (red) status. Yellow (unknown) results are not charged because the status cannot be confirmed.

Verification credit cost

The table shows what each tool charges for each result status. To learn more about credits, see this guide.
