TL;DR: The timing of your LinkedIn posts impacts visibility and engagement on the platform. Studies show Tuesdays to Thursdays, between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. (in your audience’s time zone), are generally the most effective for posting on LinkedIn. For even deeper insight, reach out to your most engaged followers directly and ask about their preferences for timing and content type.
I’ve often wondered why some LinkedIn posts are sort of invisible. Sure, the algorithm has its content preferences, but the time we post on LinkedIn is also a big piece of the puzzle. In this guide, we’ve collected the data from the most recent studies to share the best times to post on LinkedIn with you.
Read on to discover the best days and hours for your LinkedIn posts so you can schedule your content for maximum impact.
Outline:
Why timing matters for LinkedIn posts
Knowing when to post on LinkedIn plays a crucial role in your content performance. After all, your goal isn’t just to post but to ensure what you share lands in front of the right eyes. By posting valuable content during peak activity hours, you increase the chances that your audience will see and engage with your posts.
The point is not just getting more impressions, however. When your posts get constant likes, comments, and shares shortly after you publish, LinkedIn’s algorithms amplify your general reach. As a result, you get:
- increased brand awareness
- higher engagement overall
- better networking opportunities
- more followers and prospective customers
Knowing the best time to post on LinkedIn is especially crucial for B2B salespeople. The business audience is often structured around traditional work days and hours, so it’s silly to post when prospects are fast asleep. I once joked with a colleague that posting at 3 a.m. is like delivering a sales pitch to an empty room: you’re well-prepared, but nobody’s there to listen.

Although the data varies slightly by source, there’s a clear logic behind the trends. During the workweek, mornings and midday are the most active times. On Saturdays, early morning or evening works best, while Sunday sees the highest engagement in the morning.
We have also compared the results from the above studies with the insights gained while tracking the analytics of Snov.io posts. Below, I will provide our recommendations for the best times to post on LinkedIn throughout the week.
The best time to post on LinkedIn on Monday
Our marketing experts recommend scheduling Monday posts between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Regardless of your prospects’ time zone, Mondays are usually hectic for everybody. On Monday mornings, people usually check emails, review tasks, or catch up with colleagues after the weekend.
If they have time to read content you’ve posted on LinkedIn, they’ll most likely do it during lunchtime in the afternoon. So, if you’ve planned to post something on Monday, you’d better shift it closer to the middle of the day.
The best time to post on LinkedIn on Tuesday
At Snov.io, we recommend scheduling Tuesday posts at around 8-9 a.m. or between 12 p.m. and 2 p.m.
After Monday checkups, people feel more adapted to the working week the next day. As a rule, they check their LinkedIn pages either on the way to the office or during coffee or lunchtime. Therefore, posting during these hours looks reasonable on Tuesdays.
The best time to post on LinkedIn on Wednesday
Marketing experts from Snov.io recommend scheduling Wednesday posts between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Midweek is when we are all in sync with our work routine management. We’re seeing LinkedIn feed activity stretch from morning all the way into the afternoon.
The best time to post on LinkedIn on Thursday
Snov.io experts recommend scheduling Thursday posts between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Just like Wednesdays, Thursdays are an excellent moment to reach your LinkedIn audience. You can engage with people by sharing valuable content throughout the morning and afternoon hours.
The best time to post on LinkedIn on Friday
We recommend scheduling Friday posts at around 9 a.m. or from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Friday is the last working day of the week, which often means coping with deadlines and closing tasks before the weekend. The chances people will browse your LinkedIn posts on this day are really low. The only periods when you can expect some engagement on Friday are the morning and evening hours.
The best time to post on LinkedIn on Saturday
Our marketing experts recommend scheduling Saturday posts from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m.
If you work with European customers, you can also post at 7-8 p.m. on this day. However, the weekend is the worst time to post on LinkedIn, so we strongly advise against posting on Saturdays and Sundays in your content calendar.
The best time to post on LinkedIn on Sunday
Our marketing experts recommend scheduling Saturday posts from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
You can try posting your content from morning to afternoon hours on LinkedIn. But as I’ve already mentioned, weekends are commonly a low period for engagement on this social media platform.

Specific LinkedIn posting time depending on the type of content
Our marketing experts at Snov.io have shared their practical experience of posting different types of content on LinkedIn. Now, I’d love to put it out here so you can get even more insights into the best posting times on this social media platform.
Many sales professionals browse LinkedIn early in the morning, often while having coffee, and decision-makers are planning their day. So, at 7–8 a.m. (target audience’s time zone), we usually share short, digestible promotional posts to match our audience’s fresh mindset.

We’re sure that a well-placed promo posted during coffee time can spark real interest. Here is an example of such a short post from Snov.io:
Meanwhile, carousel ads or promotional campaigns show good results on Tuesdays or Wednesdays, mid-morning (10 a.m. – 12 p.m.), when users are active but not yet overwhelmed with tasks.
Engaging educational content works wonders at lunchtime (12 – 1 p.m.).
Polls or thought-provoking questions meant to spark comments also work well during lunch breaks.
We also noticed that late afternoon (4 – 5 p.m.) is quite a good time for longer posts, as people often use this time to unwind with insightful reads.
As for the video content, our Video Marketing Manager, Ksenia, has some insightful tricks to share:
Long, educational videos are perfect for any “active” day of the week — Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Short ones are best on Monday and Friday. If you want to post on LinkedIn more often, short videos are the way to go. They quickly grab attention and are easier to produce.

What also matters is frequency. From Ksenia’s expertise, posting high-quality content three times a week is way better than flooding your feed every day with generic, low-quality content. Consistency is highly important. Your audience should get used to engaging with your content, so aim to be continually present in their feed.
